Abstract: This paper briefly introduces the development prospect of antibacterial and odor-resistant acrylic fiber. It mainly introduces antibacterial and odor-resistant acrylic fiber, and systematically describes the production characteristics and antibacterial properties of antibacterial and odor-resistant acrylic fiber, and introduces the good washing performance of the fiber. .

First, the development prospects of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber

In recent years, the comfort and health care functions of clothing have attracted more and more attention, and the research on antibacterial fiber has received increasing attention. Since the antibacterial fiber fabric can kill bacteria or inhibit its growth and growth, it has an antibacterial and deodorizing function. Most of the antibacterial textiles are still obtained by the subsequent finishing methods, and the durable antibacterial and deodorizing properties cannot be obtained. Therefore, the antibacterial fibers having permanent antibacterial effects have been developed very rapidly in recent years.

At present, there are two types of antibacterial fibers that are relatively mature and have been industrially produced: one is an inorganic antibacterial antibacterial fiber represented by synthetic fibers containing nano-scale silver-containing zeolite antibacterial materials developed by major chemical fiber companies in Japan. These antibacterial fibers are safe and durable to human body. However, the antibacterial efficiency of these antibacterial fibers is 70%-80% , which is not conducive to the development of blended products, and the antibacterial spectrum is not wide, and the antifungal effect is not satisfactory. In 1999 , he was engaged in the development and production of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber. He used self-made special antibacterial and deodorant additives, and carried out small test, pilot test and industrialization test. He has developed antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber. The fiber system is in-line injection before spinning, so that the antibacterial and deodorant additive and the acrylic spinning dope are fully mixed before spinning, so that the spun antibacterial and deodorizing acrylic fiber has good and durable antibacterial and deodorizing properties, and the process The process is simple, flexible and economical without changing the spinning process and spinning conditions.

In addition to soft texture and non-irritation, antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber can be widely used not only in blending with other natural or man-made fibers, but also with better dyeing properties, achieving higher color depth and brighter colors.

Antibacterial and deodorant acrylics allow these fibers to achieve better application properties by blending with cotton, wool or blends of viscose, nylon, tencel and polyester fibers, and even more blends of fibers.

Second, the production characteristics and antibacterial properties of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber

The pilot plant has the ability to develop various new acrylic products. The two-step NaSCN wet spinning production line of the pilot plant is used to develop an antibacterial and odor-resistant acrylic fiber by in-line blending with an antibacterial and deodorant additive. Amicor AB is similar. The self-developed antibacterial and deodorant additive is added to the spinning dope by high-shear pump proportionally to produce antibacterial and deodorizing acrylic fiber. The antibacterial and deodorant additive is evenly distributed in the fiber, so that the antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber can maintain the durability of the antibacterial property.

The antibacterial and odor- resistant acrylic fiber produced on the industrialized equipment is tested by SGS Standards (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and tested according to AATCC 100-1999 or AATCC 100-2004 and JIS L 1902 : 2002. Positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli) and fungi (Candida albicans) were used as test strains to determine the antibacterial properties of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fibers.

The antibacterial property test of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber was tested by JIS L 1902 : 2002 (antibacterial performance test method of textiles), and the antibacterial property test of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber and cotton fiber blended fabric was tested according to AATCC 100-2004 (antibacterial performance evaluation of textiles). Test.

Tables 2 to 7 are the results of the antibacterial properties of the antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fibers and their blended fabrics, respectively.

From the above test results, the antibacterial and anti-odor acrylic fibers and their blended fabrics obtained by industrial production have excellent antibacterial properties, and the fibers have broad-spectrum antibacterial properties, and have good antibacterial properties not only for Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. And also have a good inhibitory effect on fungi.

It can be seen from the above that when the blend ratio of the antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber to the pure cotton is 30 % or more, good antibacterial properties can be obtained.

Third, dyeing and finishing of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fabric

( 1 ), the process of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fabric

Grey cloth tumbling → singeing → desizing → scouring → oxygen bleaching → dyeing → soft → tenter → pre-shrink

( 2 ) Processing characteristics of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fabric

   If bleaching is required, it is recommended to use hydrogen peroxide in the bleaching of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic / cotton blended fabrics. Do not bleach with hypochlorous acid because it will weaken the antibacterial effect of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fibers;

   The antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber in the antibacterial and deodorant acrylic / cotton blend fabric can be dyed by cationic dye according to the method of dyeing ordinary acrylic fiber. The choice of dye depends on the fastness requirements and staining properties. Antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber and cotton, polyester and other blended fabrics should obtain very uniform color. It is recommended to use "one-bath two-step dyeing", which should first dye acrylic fiber.

4. Washing resistance of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber

The antibacterial and deodorant additive in the antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber is uniformly distributed in the interior of the fiber in the form of fine particles, so that the particles of the antibacterial and deodorant additive can be slowly eluted to the surface of the fiber. Due to the affinity of the antibacterial and deodorant additives, even if the antibacterial and deodorant additives are dissolved, they cannot leave the matrix fibers, and therefore the antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fibers have excellent washing resistance. The table below illustrates the good wash resistance of the blended fabric.

Antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber uses a safe and effective antibacterial additive to inhibit the growth of bacteria and eliminate the odor generated by textiles. 5. Application of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber in textile industry

The industrialized production of antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber has been exported to Europe and the United States, and has passed strict inspections by relevant manufacturers. Batch export has been implemented.

Antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber is widely used and can be used for the following purposes:

( 1 )   All bedding, mattresses and all kinds of bedding. It can give bedding anti-allergic properties and fresh comfort;

( 2 )   Baby clothes and their bedding. Protect infants and young children from allergies. Infants have a weakened innate immune system after 6 months of birth, so they are prone to allergic reactions and even life-threatening during this period. ( 7 )   Footwear. Antibacterial and deodorant acrylic fiber can effectively prevent foot odor caused by wearing sports Shoes or running shoes. In addition, it protects the foot from infection by athlete's foot fungus.

( 8 )   Medical supplies and uniforms. Whether used as sheets, curtains, medical staff uniforms or food processing fabrics, antibacterial and deodorant acrylics can effectively inhibit the growth of harmful microorganisms in fabrics, thereby reducing the rate of infection and maintaining hygiene.
